Trademark Protection Extended to 15 Years in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

The Trademark Office in the Kurdistan region of Iraq is now granting 15 years of trademark protection, replacing the previously applied 10-year term.
 
The change applies to new registrations, pending applications upon registration, and future renewals. Existing registrations will transition to the 15-year term at their next renewal. A positive step for businesses looking to strengthen and maintain brand protection in the region.
