Qatar Trademark Office: Remote Work and Filing Updates
Due to the implementation of remote work protocols, the Qatar Trademark Office has temporarily suspended the issuance of physical receipts for trademark publication, opposition, registration, and renewal actions that are paid manually at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry counter. Please note that these actions are considered completed only once the payment has been made.
The Trademark Office has also confirmed that an additional grace period will be granted for any deadlines that fall during this period. The exact duration of this extension will be announced later.
Please note that this suspension does not apply to the filing of counterstatements against oppositions or responses to office actions for trademarks and patents. These must still be submitted by email to ensure they are recorded within the required deadlines.
We are closely monitoring the situation to ensure that all electronic submissions are filed on time and that any pending physical submissions are completed once the Office resumes full services.
