European Patent: Moldova Joins The European Patent Convention (EPC)

As of 1 June 2026, the Republic of Moldova is set to become the 40th contracting state of the European Patent Organisation.

This accession follows a long-standing cooperation with the EPO, particularly through the validation agreement in force since 2015, and marks an important step in strengthening European collaboration in the field of patents.
